48.4. Despite section 9, an operator of a raising site existing on 15 June 2002 that was established in accordance with the law and whose annual phosphorus (P2O5) production resulting from solid manure management is greater than 1,600 kg may store solid manure in a pile near the livestock building in which the manure is produced.
Such storage is subject to the following conditions:
(1)  contaminated water from the pile must not enter the surface water; and
(2)  the pile must be completely removed and reclaimed or eliminated, in accordance with section 19, within 12 months after the date the pile is created.
This section ceases to have effect on 1 April 2010.
